Bio

Writing songs and playing them out live is all this Country singer and songwriter knows to do. With over 400+ live shows under his belt, frontman Brent Gafford is far from a newcomer on the scene. The Carrollton, Georgia native is, however, a newcomer to Music City, USA. After four years of cutting his teeth in the local Atlanta music scene, 27-year-old Brent Gafford made the move the Nashville in the Summer of 2017. Well-equipped with his strong, pure vocal talent and knack for creating infectious melodies, Gafford is ready to make some noise in his new home base in Music City.

Brent's story is one that reaches as far back as the late 90's when he was just a nine-year-old boy playing bass in his older brother's rock band. He hasn't put his guitar down or shelved his love for songwriting a single day since. Throughout his early high school days growing up in the small town of Carrollton in West Georgia, Brent began to play out at local spots around town. It was during these early days that Brent fell in love with playing live music and connecting with an audience from behind his guitar. That love stuck as he carried it with him to college at the University of Georgia in the Athens, Ga. Enrolling in 2009, Brent took to playing acoustic in the college bars off Clayton Street. Athens, Georgia is a music town in and of itself, nourishing the early careers of REM, B-52's, and Drive-By Truckers to name a few. Brent took it as a chance to assemble a band behind him, and as so the Brent Gafford Band was born in 2012. The band's members have changed through the years, but now bolsters a roster of some of the best musicians Atlanta has to offer. The most notable addition to the lineup is the addition of vocalist and violinist, Lauren Gafford; the now Brent's wife . Brent has shifted his focus on writing and performing their original music and it is now beginning to pay off. Gafford's debut EP "Song on the Radio" did just that by having three tracks get voted number one on 94.9 The Bull's Backyard Country Countdown in Atlanta.

The Brent Gafford Band continues to blaze a trail of making true, original Country music that is unique in and of itself. Gafford's style is undeniably commercial, yet doesn't undermine the organic twang of the 90's Country that inspired Brent from an early age. The band continues to frequent the stages of Atlanta staples like the Dixie Tavern and Smith's Olde Bar, where hometown heroes like the Zac Brown Band got their start. BGB's presence continues to grow following the release of their debut EP "Song on the Radio". Brent is hard at work writing for his next studio album expected to drop in the summer of 2018. Brent and the band maintain a hefty tour schedule, continuing to play close to a hundred live shows per year. Check the tour calendar and catch a live show in the near future.
